  Perception of the customer regarding to quality of services in fast food restaurants 1 CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Background of the study Fast food is a specializing in food that can be prepared and served quickly. And also known as a quick service restaurant (QSR0 within the industry, is a specific type of restaurant that serves fast food cuisine and has a minimal table service for the customers. The food that served in the fast food are offered from a limited menu, cook in bulk in advance and kept hot, finished and packaged to order or to serve usually available for takeout, though seating may be  provided. Fast food restaurant are typically part of a restaurant chain or franchise operation that  partially prepared foods and supplies to each restaurant through controlled supply channels. Today, there are many fast food chain here in Puerto Princesa that many people have been such as Mcdonald’s, Jollibee, Chowking, Mang  Inasal, Greenwich, and many more. Fast food is srcinated in United States on 1921 to 1923. Variations on the fast food restaurant concept include fast casual restaurants and catering trucks. Fast casual restaurants have a higher sit-in ratios, offering a hybrid between counter service typical at fast food restaurants and a traditional table service restaurants. Catering trucks also called a food trucks often in park just outside work sites and popular with factory workers. Fast food came around after the Second World War and has come a long way since then. In the past it was a mere convenience provider and time saver, the easiest and fastest way to fill appetites, as the name suggests. It was now involved into a premium luxury item. It is now very  popular amongst all ages of people, especially children. Children that can easily attract to fast food restaurant beside of the foods there they also have a mascot that’s why children are very  Perception of the customer regarding to quality of services in fast food restaurants 2 attract there. Fast food Marketing is a necessity for Fast Food brands these days. Fast food despite being \a treat to the taste buds is hazardous to health and comes bearing a plethora of ailments. Therefore, it must essentially be advertised and marketed in order for businesses to make sales and be profitable. Conceptual Framework This concepts show the satisfaction of the customer to the quality of services and facilities of a Fast Food restaurant. Customer Satisfaction    Safety and Security    Cleanliness    Employee Performance    Comfort    Service Quality  Perception of the customer regarding to quality of services in fast food restaurants 3 Statement of the Problem This present paper attempts to study about the quality of services and facilities of Fast Food Restaurant here in Puerto Princesa City. The study also examine the opinion and observation of the customers to Fast food restaurant.The study attempts to answer the following questions sought by the researchers. 1.   What is the perception of the customers about the following: a.   Employee Performance  b.   Comfort and Security c.   Service Quality d.   Safety and Security 2.   Why the customers are keep coming back to the Fast Food Restaurant?   Significance of the Study This study aims to find the good qualities and services of fast food restaurant. Also to search and find out other problem and barriers in Fast Food Restaurant. These study beneficiaries are students, teachers, entrepreneurs, children, parents and the future new researcher who are eating in Fast food restaurant. They must learned new things, what is importance of fast food restaurant, and also the effects and impact of these to the people who loves to eat in fast food restaurants.  Perception of the customer regarding to quality of services in fast food restaurants 4 Definition of terms Fast food restaurants    –   also known as a quick service restaurant (QSR) within the industry, is a specific type of restaurant that serves fast food cuisine and has minimal table service Satisfaction  - fulfillment of one's wishes, expectations, or needs, or the pleasure derived from this. he smiled with satisfaction Scope and Limitation This research study focuses on the perception of the customer about the Quality of the services and facilities of fast food restaurant here in Palawan. The respondents of this research study are the customers of fast food restaurant here in Puerto Princesa City specifically along rizal avenue. The researcher conduct a survey at least 5 fast food restaurant and 15 customers per 1 fast food restaurant which is we have 75 respondent for this study or the researcher can also conduct a survey to any people who experience eating in fast food restaurant.
