With 120 solar panels providing an extended aperture area of 153.6m2,the Phoenix 1 has the capability of providing 27.6 kilowatts/h andstoring 500kwh using 230W solar panels.The panels extend from closed to fully open in 180seconds.Withabuiltinanemometerthearrayswill automaticallyclosedownifhighwindspeedisdetected,andonceconditionsbecomesuitablycalm,theunitwill reopen with an inbuilt hose down system removing any light debris. UNIT OUTPUT The unit’s output has been calculated as follows:120 x 230w x 12hrs = 331.2KWh331.2KWh x 365 = 120.88MWhAllowing 20% losses = (- 24.176MWh)120.88MWh – 24.176 MWh = 96.704MWhHowever, not all dwellings will draw the same amount of power at theone time. This is termed the diversity factor. With a diversity factor of40% the capacity of the Phoenix 1 mobile PV unit can be calculated tocirca 135.38MWh/annually. How many homes would this supply? The answer to this question is entirely dependant on the specificrequirements of the end users as the case may be. Reverse osmosis deionisation unit Thephoenix1incorporatesareverseosmosisdeionisationwaterfilteringunitwhichcanprovide1500litresofpuredistilledwaterfromanexternalwater source. Smaller units are optional. This application is utilised toprovidedistilledwaterfortheautolevellingbatterytopupsystemandtoprovide clean water to the end user as required.  APPLICATIONS Rural Electrification Programs The Phoenix1 unitisacarbonfree,versatilesolutiontoruralelectrificationprograms, providing swift installation and minumum maintainance. Single applications Whetheritbealargeopenevent,individualdwellingrequirement,schoolor hospital application, Phoenix 1 mobile units can meet their needs. Mini grid capabilities Where needs are greater than the capacity of the unit, where applicablethe units can be connected in a mini grid offering a completely scalablesolution for the future.
