CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1. Background Translation is the process of transferring information from a source language into the target language. Activity involves translating complex systems to produce results that grammatical translation, natural and in accordance with the srcinal information. Therefore, some difficulties may be encountered a translator in the translation process. However, every difficulty there must be a solution. To that end, this paper presents a translation and explanation of some of the issues related to translation as a knowledge base for understanding the translation. Translation is a activity change information from the source language into the target language. a. Simatupang (2000:2) says that translation is a shift of meaning contained in the source language into the target language and make it happen again in the target language with forms as natural as possible in accordance with the applicable rules.  b. Wills (1982:112) says that translation is a procedure that is performed to guide the realization of the transfer of the source language text is written to the target language text. c. Bassnett (1991:2) says that what is generally understood as a process of translation involves referral source language text (SL = Source Language) into the target language According to Putri (2014), English is an international language that is used as the language communication between all the nations and countries in the world. The ability to speak English is important to be mastered by people. It is because, through English, people can interact with the foreigner. Moreover, there are several occupations that related to English, such as a translator. A translator is a person who translates the srcinal language into the target language in order to make the foreigner easily to understand the information. Through a translator, people can get the accurate and clear information without having difficulties to understand the information that are given by foreigners.. 1.2. Problem Formulation 1.3. Object of Study  CHAPTER 2 DISCUSSION 2.1. Theory of Translation Larson (1998) states that translation is the transferring process from the srcinal message into the target language. He adds that translation is a process of translation which is not only in one sense, but having two or more meanings. There are several criteria of good translation based on the experts such as Larson (1998), Barnwell (1980, p. 115) and Nababan (2003, p. 86). From their explanations, it can be concluded that there are three most important qualities of a good translation, such as accuracy, clarity, and naturalness.  2.2. Theory of Accuracy According to Jakobson (1959: 15), Natural translation is a whole message transference from one language into another rather than the transfusion of single separatecode units. What the translator dose is recording the entire message and transmitting it into the target language context (Larson, 1998:3).  2.3. Theory of Naturalness According to Belloc (1931: 30), Natural and good translation must... consciously attempt the spirit of the srcinal at the expense of the letter. Now this is much the same as saying that the translator must be of srcinal talent; he must himself create: he must have power of his own, not just offer a one-to-one translation According to Jakobson (1959: 15), Natural translation is a whole message transference from one language into another rather than the transfusion of single separatecode units. What the translator dose is recording the entire message and transmitting it into the target language 2.4. Analysis Method 2.5. Data Analysis   CHAPTER 3 CONCLUSION 3.1. Conclusion 3.2.
