CONTENT 3. LEARNING RESOURCES References Learners Manual Science 7 ; TG Science 7  Materials Video clips, Laptop, TV Monitor 4. PROCEDURES 4.1 Introductory Activity The students will be asked with these questions: 1.   Who are the famous scientists in the world that you know? 2.   What are the traits of scientists that made them successful? 3.   How do you deal with your daily problems? 4.   How were you able to identify the solution to the problem? 5.   With regard to scientists, how do they deal with problems in their field? 4.2 Activity Video Clip Viewing: A video clip will be shown to the students showcasing the concepts on scientific method and its steps (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BVfI1wat2y8). After the video presentation the students will answer the following questions. 1. How would you describe scientific method? 2. What are the steps of scientific method? 3. Why is scientific method important?   4.3 Analysis Checking and discussing of student’s answers in the activity.  1.   How do scientists solve problems? 2.   How would you describe scientific method? 3.   What are the steps of scientific method? 4.   Why is scientific method important? 4.4 Abstraction Ask students to summarize the things they learned from the discussion. What is scientific method?  ------- There is no single method by which scientists solve problems. Although they use different methods, there is a basic pattern in their thinking and working. This pattern is known as Scientific Method. Scientific method refers to a set of procedures that scientists follow in order to solve a problem or to gain knowledge around the world.    The students will practice the “Process Approach song”.   4.5 Application In everyday life, we are faced with challenges and or problems. Make a  poster which depicts the importance of scientific method. 4.6 Assessment The students will complete the concept map below about the topic Scientific method. 4.7 Assignment What is a problem? How to construct a problem? 4.8 Concluding Activity 5. REMARKS  Indicate below special cases including but not limited to continuation of lesson plan to the following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time, transfer of lesson to the  following day, in cases of classes suspension, etc. 6. REFLECTIONS  Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your student’s  progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn?  Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions. Indicate below whichever is/are appropriate.  A. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation.  B. No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation. C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson.  D. No. learners who continue to require remediation.  E. Which of my learning  strategies worked well?
