These differences have been seen to be correlated ,ith cultural and intellectual differences! This suggests the superiority in culture and intellectual among the people from the ,hite race! &enetics have sho,n that the difference bet,een the biological races is very much reduced! It is therefore possible to have a blac1 person having the same genetic similarities ,ith a ,hite  % $ERSTA $I & E$%CATIO I E'%A(IT) I ET* IC &RO%#S . person! Sociologists therefore aim at investigating ,hether the biological differences have any impact on the education achievement!Even if the relationship found bet,een the education achievement and ethnicity vary ,ithrespect to age of the groups being compared0 there is evidence that the Caribbean boys0 2angladeshi and #a1istani students studying in %3 are not very successful as compared to the ,hite students! The issue for instance on the lo, attainment of the blac1 people in school is odd ,hen put together ,ith post compulsory experience in school! In this vie,0 it is evident that  blac1 students ,ho have &CSE results belo, or ,ithin the median have high li1ely hood of attending the higher education as compared to ,hite students ,ith the same results! aterial factors are very much significant as compared to cultural factors ,hen it comes to the education failure in the ,or1ing class! Student from the minority communities face a lot of cultural challenges ,hich tend to undermine the prospects of education! One of them could be the fact that in the Asian community0 English isn4t their language! Also the Caribbean people use the #atois and Creole in spea1ing and also ,riting ,hich is not Standard English! The frequent use of these languages may ma1e them not able to understand the formal language! This may ma1e the students from these communities fail to understand questions as ,ell as ans,er the questions in a manner that the examiner ,ill understand! Introduction Inequality in education is the lac1 of equal opportunities ,hich is as a result of disparitiesin quality of education or other factors! It is evident that not all people have equal opportunities of getting better education by being able to afford private tuition and private schools hence outlining the fact that inequality in education still exist ,ithin our educational frame,or1 today! The dissertation aims to explore the readily accepted ideals of inequality that are used in explanation of the differences in experience of education and achievement by ethnicity and ,hether these accepted ideals need to give ,ay to a more contemporary outloo1 on the issues!  % $ERSTA $I & E$%CATIO I E'%A(IT) I ET* IC &RO%#S -The dissertation ,ill use the secondary research method ,here I ,ill use the information obtained from the library boo1s0 5ournals0 maga6ines and government papers to get the information about the education achievement and experience! The research aims at identifying the differences in experience of education and achievement by ethnicity0 assess the ,ay ethnicity intersects and interacts ,ith influences of gender and class in shaping the outcome and experience of the education of an individual and finally identify ,hether there are any differing contemporary vie,s ,hich try to explain the differences in experience of education and achievement by ethnicity! The paper ,ill then have a conclusion ,here I ,ill summari6e the results and then give recommendations and the ,ay for, ard! 1. O: BACKGROUND INFORMATION Educational inequality refers to the to the lac1 of equal opportunities that people have as a resultof disparities in quality of education or other factors! *o,ever0 people have the same opportunities from ,hen ,e start school0 hence its up to the individual to decide ,hat they ,ant to do ,ithin the educational frame,or1 and as a result they argue out that each individual has thechance to do use education to their advantage 0 on the other hand0 it is important to note that not all people have equal opportunities of getting better education by being able to afford private tuition and private schools hence outlining the fact that inequality in education still exist ,ithin our educational frame,or1 today! The ma5or function of education is the transmission of society4s norms and values! Society can survive only if there exists among its members a sufficient degree of homogeneity7 education perpetuates and reinforces this homogeneity by fixing in the child from the beginning the essential similarities ,hich collective life demands 8social trends0 /99-:!
