Document standard performance (DSP) By the end of 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to demonstrate understanding of a variety of linear and non-linear texts in the form of print and non-print materials using range of strategies to construct meaning. General objective Pupils should be able to read simple words correctly. Specific objective By the end of lesson, pupils should be able to; i) Pronounce at least five words correctly ii) Read simple sentence with the correct rhythm and intonation iii) Recognise 4 out of 5 adjective and food name.  Stage/ Duration Content Teaching/Learning Activities Remarks Set induction (5 minutes) Sound clip of “food song”  and lyric. a) What is this song about? 1) Teacher plays the sound clip of “food song”  and display the lyric on power point. 2) Pupils listen to it and sing along with. 3) Teacher asks what this song all about. 4) Teacher tells pupils about the topic they will learn on that day.
