  ENGLISH 4 QUARTER 4 WEEK 6 DAY 1 Ms. Jovelyn A. Salceda Teacher IVictoria Homes Elementary School  There was a dog walking on the seashore. He went on island hopping with his master. Along his way, he found a bone. He quickly picked it up and ran back to the boat. As he was looking down on the side of the boat, he saw another dog in the water with a big bone. He barked at the dog. How foolish for him to bark with a bone in his mouth! His bone fell into the sea. The dog in the water disappeared as the bone fell. The dog was so sad that his bone was gone, too. But his master brought home a basket full of ish. The dog will surely have something for dinner. by: Michelle L. Mercado   THE FIVE FOOLISH FISHERMEN The ive foolish ishermen went to the sea to ish. When they got back, the irst isherman said, “Let us see if there are still ive of us.” So he counted, “One, two, three, four.” “Oh, no!” he cried. We are only four!”“Let me count,” said the second isherman. “One, two, three, four!” You are right! We are only four!” “Maybe one of us fell into the sea!” cried the third isher- man. “What shall we do?” asked the fourth isherman.   And they began to cry. A little girl came. “Why are you crying?” she asked. “Five of us went to the sea to ish.But only four of us came back! One of us is lost!” answered the ishermen. They all cried again. “Boo hu hu!
