Surname 1 Student’s Name   Professor’s Name  Course Date Attending Art Exhibition In the third experience I headed to an art event where I visited London Art Exhibition to explore some of the art exhibitions that draws close connection with the class topics. The exhibition is known as one of the best and inspiring exhibitions in the world with its good art  providing the eyes with remarkable artwork done by and about women. The event is usually carried out annually and is always held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. It is  platform that gives people across all divides to showcase their talent and gain access support from the outside world. It was a perfect exhibition as the attendance, performance and the environment matched its reputation. Even though male artists outnumbered that of women, the margin was impressive. Various high profile people were in attendance with the English minister for tourism in attendance. Both genders were given equal time to showcase their artworks and it was impressive to see how competitive the environment was. Women in particular were impressive showcasing their must-see exhibitions. They had a range of contemporary art, sculpture and classic works. In particular, I was motivated to visit this event for the worrying information gained from modern art world. For example, I established that only 4% of female artists were for the National Gallery of Scotland’s collection  (Ricthes, 950). Additionally, I was shocked that only 22% of the solo artists who presented in the 2018 edition were female. These statistics and data do not appeal and they intrigued me to know more about the exhibition. In the process, I had to engage  Surname 2 the audience and management by asking some questions related to the exhibition and some of the questions asked touched on how to promote the participation of women in the event, common challenges faced by the female artists and how to address such as challenges among other question (Robinson 2019). These questions formed the basis of gaining additional information about the show. Besides the grim statistics covered herein made it valuable to me to explore and support exhibitions that feature work done by female artist over time. Elsewhere, the London Art Exhibition taught me a lot of things. Significantly, it trained me how positive and viable connection encourages people to draw in with their general surroundings and add to the progression of their locale through advancing arts. I likewise discovered that both genders should feel enabled to be agents of change, initiating dialogue and  building up their locale, as we on the whole get ready for the next generation headed by gender equity. In conclusion, gender remains a major area of concern in most areas in life and for a long time, women have long been underrepresented in many areas with art exhibitions not exception. This is what the London Art Exhibition works to address. The event draws a lot of connections and relates to most concepts that we have learned in class. It gives women an equal chance to show their hidden and underappreciated skills that attracts same measure as that of women. Besides, promoting culture of women is area that connects with our course as it in area that  promotes the wellbeing of women. I therefore found it quite important to consider an event that would touch on promoting women in a way as it touches in some areas learned in class.  Surname 3 Work Cited Riches, Simon, et al.
