    Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences  in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort offers an innovative, international environment combined with first-rate teaching in interdisciplinary bachelor’s and master's degree courses, taught mainly in English. It is strong in conducting research in disciplines such as technology, natural sciences and social sciences. More than 4,000 students have already enrolled at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The Lower Rhine region with its attractive countryside is in the direct vicinity of the Rhine-Ruhr conurbation and the Netherlands, while at the same time being located at the heart of Europe, with two university campuses easily accessible from all over the world via the three airports of Amsterdam/Schiphol, Düsseldorf Rhine-Ruhr and Weeze. We are looking for support at the Faculty of Communication and Environment in Kamp-Lintfort and would like to fill the following position as soon as possible: Code 10/F4/14 Scientific Assistant (m/f) in the field of Energy and Environment , up to wage group TV-L EG 11, depending on personal qualifications. This is a part time (50 %) and fixed-term (initially limited to two years), at our Kamp-Lintfort Campus.  Tasks: The successful Scientific Assistant will mainly: ã  provide teaching assistance for o  laboratory practical and field classes (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental  Analysis) o  learning support for students within different projects and supervision of bachelor’s theses ã  support the setup of our research and teaching laboratories Your profile: We are looking for an integrative, independent and committed personality. The successful Scientific Assistant will also have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: ã  Good BSc or equivalent degree with a focus on Chemistry, Physics, Biology or related subjects ã  Previous laboratory experience in research and teaching ã  Driving licence (class B according to German system) ã  Good communication skills in English and German ã  A friendly and self-confident manner as well as the ability to quickly familiarise with new fields of work ã  Knowledge supervising and teaching students would be advantageous    We offer: ã  An exciting challenge at an interdisciplinary, international, young and dynamically growing university ã  A pleasant working environment in a committed team The establishment of a new university requires extraordinary commitment and the ability to find innovative and service-oriented solutions that meet customers’ needs.
