  Ensuring Secure and Stable Supply of Energy through Fuel and Technology Diversification  ALTERNATIVE FUELS AND TECHNOLOGIES ROADMAP 2017 – 2019 (Short Term Goal) 2020-2022 (Medium Term Goal) 2023-2040 (Long-Term Goal)  Identification of Alternative Fuels and Technologies (AFET) for Application  S E  C  U R E D  A  ND   S  T  A B L E  S  U P  P L  Y  O F E  NE  R  G  Y  T  H  R  O U G  H   T E  C  H  N OL  O G  Y  R E  S  P  O N S  I   V E E  NE  R  G  T  Y  S E  C  T  O R   Preparation of the regulatory and infrastructure requirements of the identified AFET  AF Vehicles Mainstreamed in the Transport Sector  STRATEGIES   Advocate for the passage of legislationon the use ofAFET.   Mobilize funds from grants.   Harmonize policies of concerned National Government Agencies (NGAs)onAFET.   Scale up the ecotown concept toinclude the use ofAFET.   Identify other emerging, efficienttechnologies for non-transportapplications.   Review, update, formulate energy-related policies, guidelines andstandards.   Scale up the use ofAFET.   Pursue the use of sustainable energyefficient technologies.   Collaborate with the stakeholders.   Deploy applicable AFET for transportand non-transport purposes.   Collaborate with private sectors, LGUs,investors, funders, entrepreneurs,transport groups and academe. AFET being prioritized are: 1) electric vehicle, 2) Liquefied Petroleum Gas, 3) Compressed Natural Gas, 4) Liquefied Natural Gas, 5) Hybrid electric vehicleAssessment of non-transport energy technologies will be pursued   Continuous assessment of emerging AFET   Continuous conduct of relevant policy studies on emerging AFET   Continuous conduct of IEC on benefits of AFET to engage the stakeholders STRATEGIES STRATEGIES  Ensuring Secure and Stable Supply of Energy through Fuel and Technology Diversification  ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT FUELS AND TECHNOLOGIES ROADMAP 2017 – 2019 (Short Term Goal) 2020-2025 (Medium Term Goal) 2026-2030 (Long-Term Goal)  Identification of Alternative Fuels and Technologies (AFTs) for Application  Preparation of the regulatory and infrastructure requirements of the identified AFTs AF Vehicles Mainstreamed in the Transport Sector  STRATEGIES   Legislate incentives on investment anduse of AFTs, e.g., subsidies, tax credits,tax breaks, and other inceptives toreduce upfront cost as well asencourage local and foreigninvestments; exemption from vehiclesreduction schemes, etc.   Scale up use of alternative fuels andtechnologies   Generate funds from grants   Harmonize policies of concerned National Government Agencies (NGAs)   Review, update, formulate energy-related policies, guidelines, standardsunder the jurisdiction of other agencies   Scale up the ecotown concept to includethe use of AFTs, e.g., zones or parks thatfeature Electric Cabs, Electric Jeepneysor Electric Bicycles for rent   Pursue the use of sustainable energyefficient technologies   Collaboration with the NGAs, Academe, NGOs, media, transport groups,commuter associations, etc.   Collaboration with private sector,LGUs, investors, funders,entrepreneurs, bus and taxi operators todeploy AFTs in parks, school campuses,subdivisions; use of electric vehicles for the delivery of goods during off-peak hours and nights   Deployment of AFTs that are applicablein remote areas, e.g. charging stations powered by a combination of solar  power, biogas or syngas for electricvehicles.   Continuous assessment of emerging AFTs   Continuous conduct of relevant policy studies on emerging AFTs   Continuous conduct of IEC on benefits of AFTs to engage the stakeholders AFTs being prioritized are: 1) electric vehicle, 2) Liquefied Petroleum Gas, 3) Compressed Natural Gas, 4) Liquefied Natural Gas, 5) Hybrid electric vehicleAssessment of non-transport energy technologies will be pursued STRATEGIES STRATEGIES
