creationanddecayarepolarizedduetothedierentstrengthsofthecouplingsoftheneutralbosontoleft-handedandright-handedfermions.Thedierenceinthecrosssectionforproducingleft-handedfermionsrelativetothecrosssectionforproducing right-handedfermionsisspeciedbyavariablecalledhelicityasymmetry.Inthehigh energylimitwherethemassofthefermioncanbeneglected,thehelicityofthefermionsproducedin  Z  decaysisagoodquantumnumber.Thehelicityasymmetryoftheanti-fermionhasthesamemagnitudeandoppositesigntothatofthefermion.Duetoparityviolationintaudecays,itsdecayproductscanbeusedasanalyzersofitspolarization.Ignoringthesmallcontributionfromonephotonexchangeandneglecting theeectofvariationsincentre-of-massenergyaroundthe  Z  resonance,oneobtainsforthetaupolarization  P   ,averagedoveralltauproductionangles, P   '   2  v   a   v  2  +  a  2  ; 3where  v   and  a   arethevectorandaxialcouplingconstantsofthetauleptontothe  Z  .In theStandardModel,thecouplingconstantscanbeexpressedas v   =4sin  2   W   m  2 Z     1 and  a   =    1  : Adetaileddiscussioncanbefoundin10.Thispaperpresentsastudyofthetauleptondecaychannels     !  e        e    ,     !               ,     !       K           andKparticlesarenotseparated,     !         0   160  0 ,theODcoverstherange 43  0   137  0 .Penetratingmuonswithapolarangleintherange51  0   129  0
