I work with the company and vendors to reach price agreements and pay the invoices. I add new vendors and complete their W9s during tax season and help them with any filing questions they may have. I currently work on Yardi systems but other systems are manageable. Accomplishments I started as a secretary and worked hard to prove accounting was what I should be doing. I managed after three months to be promoted to accounts payable. Skills Used I used great communication between vendors and complexes, as well as money management and proper filing from vendor to breakdown codes. Secretary/Receptionist HUFF MANAGEMENT CO INC - Opelika, AL - August 2015 to December 2015 Responsibilities Answer phones, took messages, faxed paperwork, copier, stamped and ran mail to the post office, UPS software to get outgoing and overnight packages ship-ready, dropped security deposits off at the bank and helped other co-workers with various office work including double checking budgets and ledgers, closing of bank accounts and collecting rent account adages. Accomplishments  I've gained knowledge using equipment I hadn't before, dealt a lot more with bank statements and mathematical work on my way to accounting. Overall I accomplished what I had set out to gain new knowledge and strongly represent a company I can stand behind! Skills Used Using the stamping machine for the mail, large scale copier, different types of fax machines, realty programs and working with housing developer software. Assistant Manager Morning Wave - Valley, AL - February 2014 to November 2015 Responsibilities Managed a small team of web developers, handled clients, budgets as well as regulated staff meetings, filing, I also held secondary titles as HR and payroll. Accomplishments I gained more knowledge and great experience as a leader to a larger staff, and I believe that I helped give sound advice and helped my team maneuver around difficult situations. I gained many friends and wonderful appreciation from repeat clients and the rapport I was able to build with them. Skills Used I demonstrated team leadership, understanding and extreme problem solving. Unit Secretary St. Francis Hospital - Columbus, GA - 2014 to August 2015 Responsibilities Answer phone calls, make doctors’ appointments, input orders, and collect unbiased data, work with doctors for patient satisfaction, patient and family communication. Accomplishments The unit I started on was brand new and little. We have built up a lasting team with a wonderful work ethic that made us flow perfectly and mold us into the stroke team we are today! Skills Used Medical programs such as McKesson and STAR as well as: Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, publisher and access. Bus Aide Prince George's County Public Schools - Upper Marlboro, MD - October 2011 to June 2014 Responsibilities Assisted special needs children to and from school/home/field trips. CPR/First Aid/BLS certified so that I am able to assist in medical emergencies. I've also changed diapers, cleaned PEG/Feeding tubes and tracheas. Kept the children occupied and calm; held wonderful rapport with both the children and their parents. Long term trust and connectivity was developed with the children I worked with. Accomplishments The only impact I could ever hope to have with a job like this was the smile on my kids’ faces. I knew their day was going to be great because of the wonderful mornings they had. Managed a small team of web developers, have minor experience developing ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Aside from several years of volunteer work, I have also created and currently maintain websites for many local charities. In doing this, it has also lead to me successfully co-hosting radio shows with local broadcast networks in Maryland and Alabama. I also enjoyed creating websites myself and happy that one of my previous employers worked for an advertising agency and was able to teach me more things I wasn’t aware of.
