   2019 Kerala floods On 8 August 2019, due to heavy rainfall in the Monsoon season, severe floodaffected the southern Indian State ofKerala. [2]  As a security measure in theprevailing situation of heavy rains, theGovernment of Kerala has issued Red alertin the 9 districts in Northern and CentralKerala, orange alert in 3 districts in CentralKerala, and yellow alert in the 2 districts of  southern Kerala. [3]  Thousands of peoplehave been evacuated to safer places andrelief camps. [1][4]  A total of 101 peoplehave died due to rain-related incidentssince 14 August 2019, These camps nowhost more than 2 lakh people from variousparts of the state.
