Basic requirements Meter standards The ABT meter fulfills the following meter standards: ã  IS14697 ã  CBIP-304 ã  IEC62052-11 General requirements for electricity meters ã  IEC62053-22 electricity meters for active energy (class 0.2s and 0.5s) Nominal voltages ã  63.5V -40% +20% ã  110 -40% -40% +20% . Nominal current The ABT meter offers the following current range: ã  1(2)A or 5(10)A Nominal frequency The ABT works with the following frequencies: ã  50 Hz, +/- 5% Measurement possibilities It measures the following quantities: ã  Active energy, kWh ã  Reactive energy, kVARh ã  Apparent energy, kVAh ã  Current, voltage, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, power factor angle, Voltage angle on all Phases and system. ã  Phase to Phase Voltage ã  Frequency. ã  %THD for Voltage And Current    LCD The LCD of the meter has the following features: ã  Number of digits for identifier 7 digits ã  The digit size for identifier Min.5x3 mm ã  Number of digits for energy data 8 digits ã  The digit size main digit 10x5 mm ã  Inter digit gap 1mm ã  Side gap 2mm LCD will be having backlit. The LCD is of ‘STN’ type construction suitable for temperature 80 Deg.C storage and 65 Deg.C operation. The LCD has a wide viewing angle of 45 deg to 60 deg cone, up to one meter distance. Life time:100k hours Temp range Operating: -30 to 80 deg C Temp range Storage: -40 to 80 deg C  Apart from Provision for display of Identifiers and main digits, the LCD also has provision for display of the follows: 1) The quadrant of operation 2) The presence of phase Voltage 3) Indicator for Current reversal 4) Top cover opening indication. 5) Magnetic tamper indication Display Modes The meter has 3 display modes. 1) Normal 2) Alternate 3) High Resolution Mode Normal Mode: In the normal mode the display parameters will scroll. The display hold time will be programmable. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on. Alternate Mode: The pressing of a button will start or stop this mode. The display will scroll the parameters in up or down direction based on the pressing of a button. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on. High Resolution Mode: The pressing of a button will start or stop this mode. The display will scroll the parameters in up or down direction based on the pressing of a button. There will be an indication to indicate the communication is on. The meter will display the energy parameters with 2 integers and 4 decimals.  Normal Display Resolution: 1. Voltage = 0.01V 2. Current = 0.001A 3. PF = 0.01 4.  Active Energy = 0.001kWh 5.  Apparent Energy = 0.001kVAh 6. Reactive Energy = 0.001kVARh 7. Demand = 0.001kVA/kW Enclosure The ABT meter offers the following features: ã  Unbreakable, high grade, flame retardant polycarbonate with thickness more than 2.0 mm, and of good dielectric and mechanical strength. The material of meter base & terminal block shall be glass reinforced The detachable terminal block shall be moulded type made of non-hygroscopic, flame retardant material having good dielectric and mechanical strength. The molded terminal block shall be made from 10- 20% glass filled polycarbonate material conforming to FH-1 of IS 11731 (Part-I) having adequate insulating properties and mechanical strength with brass inserts for connecting terminals. The terminal block satisfy all the conditions specified in IEC-62052 & IS-14697. The Terminal block shall form an extension of the meter case and shall have terminal holes and shall be of sufficient size to accommodate the insulated conductors & meeting the requirement of IS 13779 :1993/CBIP technical report- 88. The polycarbonate parts fulfill the requirement of following tests: Sr.No. Test 10% Glass filled non-transparent material for meter base & terminal block Transparent material for meter cover & terminal cover 1 UV ageing for 200 Hrs. as per  ASTM:G53 (Cl. No. 9.3) 4 Hours UV at 60˚C, 4 Hours condensation at 50˚C 4 Hours UV at 60˚C, 4 Hours condensation at 50˚C 2 Boiling water test (10 Min) No softening & whitening & No change in colour, shape, size & dimensions No softening & whitening & No change in colour, shape, size & dimensions 3 Ball pressure test as per IEC-60695-10-2 125˚ C +/- 2˚C 125˚ C +/- 2˚C 4 Flammability Test (a) As per UL 94 or (b) As per IS 11731 (Part-2) 1986 VO FVO VO FVO 5 Glow wire test IS:11000(part 2/ SEC-1) 1984 OR IEC 60695-2-12 960˚ C 850˚ C 6 Heat deflection Temp.(HDT) HDT/Ae, 1.8MPa edge(100mm) As per ISO 75/Ae 132˚ C 125˚ C
