  i ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah SWT because of His mercy and blessing so that the researcher can finish this research design entitled “The Effectiveness of Using Questionning the Author Strategy in Teaching Reading Comprehension of Recount Text (A Pre-Experimental Research on the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 19 Pontianak in the Academic Year of 2017/2018). The researcher realizes that are many people who have contributed in helping the researcher in the process of finishing this research design. Therefore, the researcher would like to give the highest appreciation to the following individuals: 1.   Dr. Y.
