  RESULTS The mains purpose of this work was to reinforce concrete with  bamboo in order to improve the strength, in general bamboo like reinforcement in beams of Portland cement enhance final loading capacity. Figure 1 illustrates the flexural strength gained in a period of 28 days  we can observe two items in this figure, SRC(Steel reinforced concrete) and BRC(Bamboo reinforced concrete) and we will use this abbreviations for the following figures. There was an increase of 6.5% in flexural strength it was because  bamboo has a high elasticity module and it helps to improve resistance of concrete. Figure 2 show load deflection behavior after 28 days between SCR and BRC. We found a similarity in the load deflections that was obtained  by “K. Datta (Thechnische Hochschule, Stuttgart, Germany, 1935)      CONCLUSIONS In this study we were focused on the strength increase in concrete  when we mix it with bamboo. We obtained good results because  bamboo could improve principal structural parameters of concrete like elasticity module also, it allows concrete to support a major quantity of deflections, and one of the main advantages is the low cost of produce concrete following this method. The design of concrete with bamboo or steel is similar , however this paper shows the principal characteristics and properties that we have to know in order to use bamboo instead of steel in the best way possible because if we do not follow this characteristics our design  will fail. Our results provide a clear strength increase and the good performance against deflections. In addition, the use of this material is sustainable and eco-friendly because it grows faster. Some limitations that we could find is that only bamboo that approve some characteristics like size, same form or age, can be applied to mix concrete with bamboo.  ABSTRACT  A number of studies trials have been made for the use of bamboo in concrete beams which are simple efficient and economical in order to reinforce concrete, and the main problem was that we did not know the method to design it, and it paper presents a way to mix concrete  with bamboo. It design was modelled following the usual design of concrete with steel, but we had to stablished some requirements for  bamboo. This method increased the strength of concrete and could reduce significant the cost of the project, and we suggest that you have to follow the principal characters to choose the bamboo, this method have a potential use for rural construction. Future directions should  be focused on the use of additives to improve the behavior of the concrete against deflections.
