WELCOME  We are so glad you have joined us today! Our desire is that God would bless and direct our time together. Worship is an interactive, participatory experience and our prayer is that the service today would strengthen and encourage you on your spiritual journey. Whether you are new to faith, just coming back to church, or a long-time follower of Jesus, we hope you find your time with us engaging and meaningful. If you are a first time Guest, we have a special gift for you. One of our pastors will be in the foyer following the service to meet you and give you a gift. WHAT TO EXPECT TODAY Worship:  We take time together to connect with God through song, scripture, fellowship, and prayer. Something special happens we focus on God together. We invite you to stand and sing with us as we praise God, but adopt whatever posture of worship is best for you. The song lyrics and scriptures are projected on screen so that you can follow along. A typical service lasts about 65 minutes. Children: We have a fully-staffed Nursery for ages three and below. Kids ages 4-12 will be dismissed during the service to the children’s chapel to be taught by Pastor Linda and her staff. Sermon:  The teaching time seeks to communicate biblical truth in compelling, relevant ways. All of our sermons are available on our website,, and are also podcast. Response:  When God is speaking, we take time to respond. Many times this is after the message, but other times it may be in the middle of the service. Listening and responding to God is one of the most important things that we do. An invitation is never needed if you want to pray at the altar. Communion:  We take time regularly to celebrate Communion and welcome all followers of Jesus Christ to participate in this act of worship and remembrance regardless of membership or denomination. Offering:  We give tithes and offerings as a part of worship in obedience, celebration, and thanksgiving to the Lord. It’s also just our way of saying, “We love our church and we want to support it!” TODAY: September 22nd 1st Service: Lori Ayres, Katie Hill, Tonya Goodman 2nd Service:  William Hastings, Heather Goodwin, Jennifer Meeks PM Service: Haley Clemons, Judy Jean NEXT Sunday, September 29th 1st Service:   Need 2 Adults and 1 Youth 2nd Service: Jessica Graham, Mikey Butner, Tracy Butner PM Service: Need 1 Adult   NURSERY WORKERS SCHEDULE: Sunday, September 22nd 8:30am & 10:50am Morning Worship Services 9:45am Sunday School 4:45pm Choir Practice 5:00pm Christmas Musical Practice 6:00pm Evening Worship Wednesday, September 25th 11:00am Morning Bible Study 5:15pm-6:15pm Family Suppers Menu: Chili and Hot Dogs 6:30pm Men's Bible Study in the McCormack Center (Men’s SS Room)   Women’s Bible Study in the McCormack Center (Fireside Room)   Adult Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall Youth Group Gathering in the Sanctuary CARAVAN meets in the Sunday School Rooms Sunday, September 29th 8:30am & 10:50am Morning Worship Services 9:45am Sunday School 4:45pm Choir Practice 5:00pm Christmas Musical Practice 6:00pm Evening Worship 105 Flower Lane Drive Estill Springs, TN 37330 Phone: 649-3867 Fax: 649-3410 Emails: Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM   FINANCIAL STATISTICS: September 15, 2019 Tithes & Offerings: Received: $6,205 Faith Promise: Received: $155 Fiscal Year is 5/1/19 to 4/30/20 September 22, 2019    WORSHIP MINISTRIES Choir Practice Tonight at 4:45pm   Did you know …  .that churches and religious charities are being pressured - sometimes even forced - to disregard their faith in hiring situations? The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed a new pro-religious liberty rule to protect churches and religious charities from being forced to hire outside their faith. This means if an atheist applies for a position at your church, your church would not be forced by law to hire them. It is crucial for faith-based organizations to be able to hire individuals of like beliefs and protect their mission from being undermined. That sacred right must be protected. Christian organizations are filing legal comments with the DOL in support of the new rule to defend the hiring practices of religious organizations. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to put down roots. Alabaster funds help provide land for many Work & Witness projects, and the entire Alabaster Offering goes toward the purchase of land and construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers. Alabaster Boxes are available on the missions table in the hallway. Pick yours up today and bring back filled on Sunday, October 6th.
