One of the most important things for wines to carry Bordeaux name is that, the land where the grapes are gro wn shouldn’t be forest zone, alluvial soil nor a mash; unless and until these rules are not followed no wine can carry a label of Bordeaux.  Bordeaux estates are mostly known for its reputed quality of producer. The official classification of Bordeaux wines were made in 1855 at the Left bank in Medoc wine region. In 1939 the war years started and so it the production and supply of wine was disrupted. France was very fortunate in the matter of weather during those times. 1941 was not so good year for Bordeaux as wines were produced in shorter supply. Depending on the robe of wine it can classified and labeled in following ways ã “Claret” if it   is red ã “Haut Benauge” if it is white and ã “Clairet” if it is a dark rosé  Old fine 1941 wine from Piemont: Barolo 1941 was a very good year for Piemont wines.  One of the best 1941 wine, is Barolo also known as “the king of wines and wines of kings”, it has in a beautiful earthy red color. It was vital for sovereigns and as well as it seemed noble to lay the tables with classic Bordelais or Burgundian bottles of the wine. Many years before it was reported that Barolo was always found on the tables of Louis XIV. The Barolo was also admired by other kings likewise King Charles Albert, the Marquises of Saluzzo and of Monferrato and Maria Cristina of Savoy. The most significant villages of the production of Barolo are: Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra and Monforte d’Alba. One of the other wines of 1941 was Barbaresco Giacomo Borgogona, a classical dry red wine that comes from Barbaresco DOC in northern Italy. It was also an important wine region of Piemont.
