Assess self-management  Objectives  The aims of this study were to: ◦  Translate the instrument DSMP- Conventional and Flexible Regimens - into Brazilian Portuguese language, in a manner that is equivalent to the srcinal version, in a clear and easy way. ◦ Validate it in a Brazilian population of children and adolescents with T1DM and their caregivers, making it possible to evaluate the quality of self-management . ◦ Compare with American self-management data.  DSMP  Semi-structured interview   25 questions  Evaluate the last three months  Children aged 6-18 years  Flexible and Conventional regimens for caregivers and children  Harris et al (2000), DirectNetStudy Group (2005), Lewin et al (2010)
