For example, by the date of weekly report (18 Jun 12), accumulated project cost of washing plant study work is $90,000.EV = Earned Value= Work earned to date. For example, by the date of weekly report (18 Jun 12), progress of work of washing plant is $80,000.CPI = Cost Performance Index= EV/AC From the example above, CPI = $80,000/$90000 = 0.89 which is less than 1 which means that at this point of time Work earned is less than Cost paid. (Thi SPI = Schedule Performance Index= EV/PV From the example above SPI = $80,000/$100,000 = 0.8 which is less than 1 which means that at this point of time Work earned is less than Work planned. CV = Cost Variance= EV - AC This CV shows Cost Performance at any point of time in term of $ amount. From the example above, CV = $80,000 - $90,000 = -$10,000 which negative SV = Schedule Variance= EV - PV This SV shows Schedule Performance at any point of time in term of $ amount.
