  CONCEPT ARTISTS WHO’S WHO.   Julia Mason  LORIN WOOD Lorin Wood is an concept illustrator & Designer who since a young age has been encouraged to per-sue his creative enthusiasm for the design and after returning from a two-year Mormon mission in 2001, he joined a studio in Dallas TX, which had him working in a variety of disciplines in both pre-production and post production.  WHAT HE WORKED ON Lorin Wood mainly works on commissions for gaming company’s such as Gearbox and also on movies. He has been commission to work for David Dozoretz, Method Studios and Tuner Classic Movies, also worked on art for the film ‘’The day the earth stood still’’ among many others. He continues to sharpen his tools and expand his ever evolving palette of dynamic projects including video games, animated feature films, commercials, product design and publication. He can also be found occasionally lecturing at the University of Texas-Dallas on networking, principles of design and digital imaging. He is currently working on a third volume of the Nuthin' But Mech book series, among several other high-profile projects.  INFLUENCES Joe Johnston and Ralph McQuarrie are two of the main influences that Wood had growing up. They both have had their fair share of works, but the main thing that brings them together are George Lucas’s Star Wars  –   the srcinal trilogy.
