  l o g o CONTEST Are you 18 years old or younger? Do you love to draw? Then help us make a logo and win prizes! What is a logo? A logo is a simple drawing that is used to help everyone recognize us. Do you recognize these drawings? These are all logos! We are asking you (YES YOU!) to create use your creativity and help us make a logo that will be used for Child Rights Education Week! How do I draw about children’s rights? Your rights are about the things and people that make you feel SAFE, HEALTHY, HEARD, and make you feel like YOURSELF (learn more at everychild.ca/uncrc). Think about these things and make a simple drawing in the box provided or on a separate, white piece of paper. Logos can be designed by hand (felts, crayons, paints, pencil crayons, etc) or on the computer (digital design, photography, etc). Will I win anything? YES! We have amazing prizes for 3 different age categories: kids ages 0 - 5, 6 - 12, and 13 - 18. We’ll ask other kids to help us decide which logo to use and let everyone know who the winner is in November. PLUS! Your logo will used across Canada. It will be used like a mascot to help kids and adults understand children’s rights in Canada. Entering the Contest 1. Design a logo that can be used to represent Child Rights Education Week.2. Email a copy of your drawing by November 4, 2013 to enter the contest. 3. Please include your Name, City, Province, Postal Code, Phone Number and Email address on your entry so we can contact you if you are the winner (your contact information will be kept private except from us, the people organizing the contest). 4. There is no cost to enter the contest. 5. Box 6000 / C. P. 6000 Fredericton, NB E3B 5H1  Rules and Regulations By entering the Contest, you (entrant), agree to comply with the ofcial contest rules (see the next page). Please ask an adult you trust to help you understand the rules. If you do not agree to the Rules in their entirety, you are not permitted to enter the Contest. Eligibility ã All participants must be below 18 years of age ã All participants must be residents of Canada Criteria ã Logos can be created by hand or via computer ã Discriminatory images will not be accepted as part of the contest ã Submissions can either be by an individual or a group ã Each individual or group is limited to one submission for each contestã When submitting include your complete name, address, email address, and telephone number Regulations ã Sponsor may disqualify entrant from the Contest, in its sole discretion, if Sponsor believes that Entrant’s Submission fails to conform to these Ofcial Rules.ã Entries may not include condential information, trade secrets, trademarks, or copyrighted material belonging to any person or entity other than the entrant, or feature individuals who have not agreed in writing to appear in the entry. ã The Children’s Rights Education Week Working Group reserves the right to amend these ofcial rules. All decisions about entry eligibility, disqualication, selection of contest nalists are at the sole discretion of the working group. ã Only one entry per person is allowed. Deadline ã Entries for the Logo Design Contest should be submitted by email or mail by November 4, 2013 . Winners ã The contest will be judged by Canadian children, youth, and members of CREW. ã Finalists will be made public on rightsofchildren.ca. ã The winner(s) will be announced on November 20th 2013, the National Day of the Child. ã The winning logo will be used for Children’s Rights Education Week Campaign. ã Winners will also be given the opportunity to share their story of why children’s rights are important to them via an interview and have their story shared on the National Children’s Rights Education Week website, if they desire. fine print  YOUR LOGO You can use this space to draw your logo, or any other piece of white paper!
