This functionality is an optional extension to the standard SafeNet HSM functionality. Please refer to the Luna EFT Console User Guide , and the Luna EFT Programmer’s Guide , for details of the standard functionality. The Japanese PIN option functionality incorporates HSM Console Operations  and Host Functions . Note : To enable Japanese PIN option functionality, please contact SafeNet Technical Support. Console Operations Support  An overview of the console operations supported by the Japan Options functionality is as follows: ã  Enabling or disabling of the Japan PIN translate host function. Host Functions Support The host functions include options to support: ã  The encryption of a clear/encrypted PIN. ã  Translation of a PIN from encryption under a PPK to encryption under another PPK. ã  The decryption of a PIN from encryption under a PPK to yield a clear PIN.
