2013-2014 Annual Report Celebrating 24 years of defending, restoring, and sheltering lives!  Defend ~ Restore ~ Shelter  Mission Statement Metro Women’s Center strives to educate the community about pregnancy alternatives so that informed decisions concerning the outcome of pregnancy can be made. Metro  Women’s Center places value upon all human life from conception onward. An abortion ends a life prematurely and unnaturally. Metro Women’s Center offers a compas-sionate Christian response to the needs of individuals confronted with challenging pregnancy situations. Vision Statement By the grace of God we desire to encourage believers to act positively on their convictions and to step forward to assist individuals with challenging pregnancy situations through our outreach. We desire to see men and women brought to a knowledge that life within the womb is God’s creative work, and we strive to share the Gospel with all  who will hear. Defending life involves interacting with individuals at the point of their crisis. It requires asking them to consider the other person involved in their situation  – their unborn child. This year we had the opportunity to defend the lives of eight babies who were at risk of abortion; however, we know of many others whose lives were lost. Restoring hearts depends rst on God. However, it also requires us to step out of our comfort zones and put ourselves in front of people who need the Lord. By God’s grace, four women put their trust in Jesus and at least thirty-seven Bibles were distributed to our grateful clients.  The Amazing Grace Home (AGH) sheltered preg  -nant women, and volunteers encouraged, prayed for, and loved our residents. In December, Kim Perfetto joined our staff as the CaseManager/Biblical Advisor for AGH. MWC volunteers graciously provided more than 1,000 hours of life-afrming aid for our clients this year.  These hours represent the hard work part of this  venture. Thank you! As you page through this annual report, our prayer is that you will be encouraged and inspired by the impact your gifts have had on defending life, restoring hearts, and sheltering women and their families for the glory of God. Thank you for partnering with us. “Pure religion and undeled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their afiction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”  James 1:27  Kim Perfetto Case Manager/  Biblical Advisor  Meredith & Keith Henderson  AGH House Parents   Andrea Cross  Assistant   About Metro Women’s Center A Message from Metro Women’s Center Staff  Colleen Tronson Director  30 local churches support our outreach!  A   A B    C  Sun   Mon  TuesWedThur  Fri  Sat   1  New Year’s Day  234567891011121314151617 1819   Martin Luther King  Jr. Day  202122232425262728293031 January 2015 Pro-Life Prayer Reminder: Pray for individuals who are facing an unplanned pregnancy to  fall in love with their babies and not let fear drive the choice to abort the child. Before visiting MWC, 21 women had experienced 29 prior abortions. Face to Face Prior to receiving a pregnancy test at MWC, several  women stated that they were abortion-minded or undecided about carrying a pregnancy to term. Out of those women, many had positive pregnancy tests. After considering their options and visiting with an MWC advisor, 4 women chose life for their children! Telephone Contacts In conversations with women over the telephone, four babies  were spared from abortion, while many other callers were not  willing to change their minds about having an abortion. 2013-14 At-Risk Pregnancy Outcomes
