Hearing is believing. Saving Seahorses Our native seahorses are under threat due to the destruction of their natural habitat by outboard motors and the growing popularity of jet skis. The centre will be a hub for breeding seahorses and monitoring their behaviour incollaboration with the Seahorse Trust. National Marine Aquarium   conservation in action Our mission is to drive marine conservation through engagement. We’re committed to conserving the marine environment and encouraging others to do the same. This moulds our exhibits and education programmes.It also drives our conservation projects. For example, we work with the Shark Trust to promote a Code of Conduct for Basking Sharks, the second biggest sh in the world. Proposed as a Marine Conservation Zone by the MCS, the reef is a shining example of the diversity of life in British waters – kelp forests sway in the surface waters above rocks cloaked in a dazzling array of anemones and corals.
