Power Floats are the finishing equipments. They are meant for leveling and finishing of the freshly laid concrete base. It squeezes out the excess moisture so that the concrete can set properly. It works just like a trowel which is used for the same purpose but requires intensive labor. The concrete need to be finished in time before it sets hence comes the requirement of fast execution. It was invented by concrete finisher Morwin Whiteman in 1929, as the labour was fed up of finishing the concrete bed while sitting on their knees. They works like flowing on the surface as if they are floating hence the name ‘Float’.  They are used for the pedestrians, floor surfaces, etc. Power Floats Kapil Kawatra B. It is attached opposite the direction of movement in case of edger and pedestrians float. In case of ride on floats it is attached to the guard ring and is available next to operators seat for operations.
