PRIVATE JET CHARTER TRENDS January - March 2016 PRIVATE JET CHARTER TRENDS We ve celebrated many firsts at PrivateFly since I founded the company in 2008, and this report marks another one. We were the first company to bring private jet booking online; the first mobile app for private jet pricing in 2010; and now I m delighted to be bringing you another important first - by sharing a never-before-seen look at the booking and flying behaviour of private aviation customers. When we launched PrivateFly, the business aviation market was a closed world with little transparency. But the last eight years have seen the shutters come up in order for the industry to recover from the economic downturn. A surge of innovative companies are using technology to push forward for growth, and with this technology comes greater understanding and insight. Against this new landscape, the private jet customer is changing too. PrivateFly now has a widespread global client base, and while privacy is paramount, we can draw on big behavioural data to examine the changing face of today s private jet customer, and what s important to them. This report looks at PrivateFly customer data from Jan-March 2016 and is something we will be building on a regular basis, so I would welcome your feedback.
