In order to achieve the following objectives, revamp of the existing facilities such as Crude atmospheric Distillation and Vacuum Distillation Units (CDU/VDU) and adding the new process units are implemented. (1) Maximize gasoline production with achieving the products meeting EU2005 specification.   (2) Increase throughput of CDUs from 150,000 BPSD to 249,100 BPSD by installing a new 80,000 BPSD CDU (existing CDU can process 169,100 BPSD as proven by current operation) (3) Produce kerosene, diesel and fuel oil products in compliance with new environmental regulation The outline of the process units for the PROJECT is summarized below: Unit Capacity Remarks Existing CDU 169,100 BPSD Nominal capacity is 150,000 BPSD. 169,100 BPSD has been proven in actual operation. One Desalter added to operate for the new process configulation. Existing VDU 82,300 BPSDCapacity increased to 82,300 BPSD from 71,000 BPSD to obtain 24,500 BPSD of HVGO for HCR feedstock. Internal to be modified. CDU2 80,000 BPSDNo.2 CDU will be installed to increase Refinery Capacity. RFCC Unit 94,387 BPSDNew RFCC unit will be installed to maximize gasoline production. RCD Unit 69,180 BPSDNew Residue Hydrotreater will be installed to reduce sulfur, metal and CCR content in RFCC feedstock.  ARAK REFINERY EXPANSION AND PRODUCTS UPGRADING PROJECT  JGC CORPORATION S001282011 PJ Description.doc 2 Unit Capacity Remarks Existing HCR 24,500 BPSDMaintain current operation NHT2 / OCT 33,000 BPSD / 20,000 BPSDNo. 2 train of NHT/OCT will be newly installed to obtain high-octane (RON) gasoline stocks. ISM 8,500 BPSDISM will be newly installed to obtain high-octane (RON) gasoline stocks. KHT 31,500 BPSDNew Kerosene Hydrotreater will be installed to meet the kerosene specification, sulfur content less than 20 wtppm. GHT 53,000 BPSDNew Gas Oil Hydrotreater will be installed to meet the diesel specification, sulfur content less than 50 wtppm. CGH 50,500 BPSDNew CGH will be installed to meet the gasoline specification, sulfur content less than 50 wtppm. LPG Merox 28,105 BPSDNew LPG Merox unit will be installed for treating LPG’s from new CDU and RFCC. PRU 28,105 BPSDNew Propylene Recovery Unit will be installed to produce polymer grade propylene, Propane and Butane/Butene.Existing VBU 27,300 BPSDOperation of the existing Visbreaker unit is required only during One train of RCD is shut-down for catalyst replacement. While both trains of RCD are operating, the Visbreaker unit will be idling operation.
