Learning Objectives    Understand that similar figures are always identical in shape but not in size.    To prove that two triangles are similar.    Using the scale factor to find the missing length Similar figures Two figures are similar if both are    identical in shape    different size For two figures to be similar, all angles must be equal in size and all corresponding sides must be in the same ratio. Scale factor is calculated using the formula  =  ℎ ℎ  For two triangles  to be similar, they must meet one of four similarity conditions:    SSS : all three corresponding sides are in the same ratio    SAS : two corresponding sides are in the same ratio and the angles in between are equal.    AAA : All three corresponding angles are equals    AAS : Two sides and one angle are the same    RHS : The hypotenuses are in the same ratio as another pair of sides in right-angled triangles.   Year 9_ Chapter 15: Similar figures   Visit https://www.tes.com/member/IGCSErevision for more information. AC = 13 cm, BC = 5 cm and YZ = 12.5 cm. Calculate the length of XZ.
