  Student 360 We have begun to shape process which will form the 360 o student appraisals of teachers. Teachers and students will, separately, complete a form based on the 30 statements outlined below beneath the ten aspects of Truly Great Teaching, judging the teacher on a 1-6 scale for each of the 30 statements. This will establish numeric j udgements on performance in the ten aspects of our Truly Great Teaching for the teacher; we will then compare the students’ perceptions of the teacher with the teacher’s perception of themselves; that comparison will then form the basis of a coachin g conversation with a Teacher Coach. 1.   Teachers have high expectations of students. Lessons are appropriately challenging and risk taking; they foster curiosity and inspire thinking. (0-12 numeric range)   6 - In class I do work that is interesting and challenging for me 1 2 3 4 5 6   29 - In my class I am used to using comparing, contrasting and classifying to help me learn 1 2 3 4 5 6   2.   Assessment is used to progress learning. A range of feedback strategies is used which students act upon to make or exceed expected progress. A clear objective is used to drive learning in every lesson. Students will have opportunities to lead their own learning. Time is managed expertly, and progress is effectively reviewed. We aim to develop proficient and independent learners, who are intrinsically motivated by the reward of achievement. We are all part of a learning community. They demonstrate a range of personal qualities and skills: encouragement; humour; acute emotional intelligence; creativity; reflection; effective communication skills. (0-24 numeric range)   1 - My teacher respects me 1 2 3 4 5 6   3 - My teacher is friendly, approachable and willing to listen 1 2 3 4 5 6 4 - My teacher is positive, enthusiastic and has a sense of humour 1 2 3 4 5 6 14 - My teacher understands and relates to young people 1 2 3 4 5 6  10.   High standards in Literacy and Numeracy are promoted by all teachers. (0-12 numeric range)  9 - My teacher ensures that I have lots of practice in important skills 1 2 3 4 5 6 22 - My teacher helps me to use note-taking, summarising and revision to help me learn 1 2 3 4 5 6 27 - In class my teacher ensures I have lots of literacy and numeracy practice (where appropriate) 1 2 3 4 5 6
