Most of our students who come in have been taught in a very, very non-artistic way as they've come up through the business world, a very, very linear way, says Mark Powell, an associate fellow at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School. He has used Shakespeare's plays to press senior executives in his leadership classes to think about their work differently. At Cornell University’s the atre is conducted through CITE programs. The objective of the program is to create safety around highly charged workplace issues, facilitating honest dialogue, self-awareness and organizational learning on four levels: personal, interpersonal,  group and institutional/community. At MIT’s Leadership Centre, an innovative course has been designed to practice leadership under the theme “Leadership as Acting”.   It has leveraged the centre’s focus on “Learning by doing”  Many leading Indian organizations started promoting corporate theatre and motivate their executives to participate in them. One senior executive from an Indian corporate shares that “to get people to become better leaders, better managers, you have to find ways of connecting to them personally and theatres is a platform that helps to experiment”      In the words of Adriana Mnuchin, The theatre is an intimate way of understanding “self” through expression. It helps to examine leadership and management better. It is a lens through which human nature, at work, at war and at play can be best understood. Goa Institute of Management brings to you “Acting like Managers” a 5 day workshop by Miss Kyla D’Souza, Artistic Director, The Peas & Carrots Theatre Co.
