  “Criticizing An Articile”  Nurainun Lubis PBI-3 UINSU I will criticize the article entitled “Using Facebook In   EFL writing class: It’s effectiveness from student’s perspective”. Written by Rahma Fithriani, explain that this article the use of Facebook can be used as a medium for student learning in obtaining student writing skills, and there are some statements that I agree with in this article and some that I disagree with this article. Language is a communication tool, especially English which is currently an international language that we always meet many languages we encounter in social media and in the current era, increasingly advanced technology makes us more often find English, especially in social media. So, social media is a major factor in these articles, to improve student’s  writing abilities. Facebook is one of most popular account social media in Indonesia. In article explain that Facebook can be student’s more effective to writing skills on use Facebook. Mobile Assisted Language (MALL) only with mobile devices can be a resource that has great benefits done spontaneously, informally and everywhere. English learning do not have to be done in the classroom or face to face with the teacher but it can be anywhere that makes children not too afraid to do an activity of the learning process. In my opinion there are some that I disagree in the literature of review in this article. There said that “Information is faster than their teachers with social media and increasingly sophistical technology”. ( Fithriani Rahma 2019:10). I disagree because, in the journal explain that “students do not get feedback from the t eacher and too much get information is obtained through the internet that makes students confused” ( Mohammad Amin Keshmiri hagh 2011:31). And next my critics other in my opinion in the article there is a statement stating that “The effectiveness of social media to support LTL activities, Facebook is an effective learning tool for students” (Rahma Fithriani 2019:10). This statement I agree because based on Ma’arif in his Thesis use CAR, explain that “Reseaching that the use of Facebook is very effective to i mprove writing student learning skills in English lessons, and research by discussing on Facebook walls students are up to wherever they are doing it and the teacher still provides a time frame for discussion on Facebook” (Syamsul ma’arif 2016).  It can be concluded that there are some statements that I agree with the use of Facebook or social media, children can more easily understand and are free to think wherever they are, so it is not happening to children who when in class a child feels bored. Whereas I disagree that  getting knowledge through technology or the internet is faster than the teacher. I do not approve the statement because the internet can make students confused to digest words from the internet.
