  Name : Bulan Nim : 0304161013 Class : Pbi-3/7 th  semester Subject: Sciencetific Writing Cultural Influences on Students’ Perceptions of Written Feedback in L2 Writing   This article about “ Cultural   Influences on Students’ Perceptions of Written Feedback in L2 Writing”. The importance of writing is a complex process, it means that students have to consider many thing to build a good writing. With writing in English process several challenges for students who learn English as a second or foreign language (L2) as they have to get used to new conventions of writing in English-Speaking cultural as well as English grammatical forms. In effectiveness of written feedback on writing is influenced by various factors, including level of student skills, previous learning experience, expectations and future education. Cultural language which cause have serious problems in writing English, partly due to their cultural-based English Learning style, has several studies has been done to find out how the influence of culture on students’ perceptions of written feedback in L2 written can be through their feedback. The results of the study indicate the active involvement of students in responding to their teachers and peers in feedback, and this tends to emphasize the important role of experiences student learning. In this article titled “Cultural Influences on Students’ Perceptions of Written Feedback in L2 Writing”, I agree with this statement in this article, it can be seen in the statement “These challenges that learners encounter in L2 writing call for teachers and researchers to find better ways for instructing writing. Providing feedback is one of the mustapproriate ways instruction help L2 learners successfully learn a writing skills (Hyland&Hyland 2006). With the statement, there is one similar statement, that L2 writing in helping their writing skills. The same theory “ With feedback in L2 writing skils. Before the process approach emerged, the typical methods of responding to students’ writing was through assigning a grade  on paper (Grabe & Kaplan, 1996). In the Hylands (2003) theory, it is explained that there are influential things in writing feedback, namely cultural factors, that cultural factors are reasons for writing differences, and that there are ways to make it meaning. The second theory contained in this article is “ Research investigated the educational practice hierarchical but funny relation between teacher and student, students are expected to respect and not to challenge their teachers (Hu, 2002, p.98). From the above statement explained using another theory, namely (Cheng, 2002) investigated the relationships among students’ perceptions of their second language (L2) writing anxiety and various learner differences. The finding suggest that enchanching students’ motivates and perception of their own writing competence are equally relevant to the development of students’writing skills. From the two theories above it can be said that the relationships am ong students’ perceptions of their second language (L2) writing to maintain but still maintain the relationship between teacher and student well. In written feedback in L2 has goal as a feedback process that has the purpose of asking students authors to improve or revisi students writing. The benefits of writing student feedback to peersto practice the communicative skills of the students, and a reader gets the messages they convey in the writing . Writing is a good idea for students to developed their language when they write their ideas in the most accurate language. With it helps students (L2) to improve their writing in accordance with student learning. With the written feedback (L2) can be improve there are visible changes from students, namely academics improvement in writing skills. Cultural influences on students’ perceptions of written feedback in (L2) writing, the understanding of social science culture refers to three aspects, all of the ways of life of people, including shared social heritage, vision, social reality, value orientation , customs, norms, traditions and knowledge. Written feedback in (L2) writing, is an affective, effective way to improve students’ writing skills. In written feedback (L2) there are important things that are central to the process approach. Therefore, a student really needs to receive feedback from the draft during the revising stage. However, the effective thing in giving feedback is one of many by giving effective  feedback of the many challenges faced by student in writing. However, a student must know how the feedback given by peers can be understood by a reader. In writing this article, this study will refer to research that investigaties how culture is towards students in writing feedback in (L2). This study not only aims to show cultural differences between students in the context of (L1) and (L2), especially in the Asian State that priority(L1) more than (L2). The results of the analysis in this article are used to provide additional information about influence of culture in students with writing feedback and how student participation in answering question related to feedback entered by student in writing. With the data also provides information about how many student are involved in it and how the focus of a studen ts’ revision.
