  Name : Putri melinda Hsb Nim : 0304161048 Critical Reading Response of Scientific Writing Cultural Influences on Students’ Perception of Written Feedback in L2 Writing   These Article discuss about Students’ perceptions of written feedback in L2 writing. And than from this article the reader knows that written is the way to make a significant in second language. And also from the Article people know the benefit of writing an example like for communication, improving knowledge etc. And than also from this article shows that influences of culture in L2 writing has been highlighteed in many studies. In written feedback is the important of writing to increase our writing. And also from writing feedback ia a process that to help students’ improving thei r writing. From this article, the author has wrote that learners has the difficulty in writing and than the difficult was double because the learners should deliver the ideas from the first language that their have to second language or in the other language the people called by target language. And, the way to solve the difficulty by using providing Feedback to help second language learners succesfully. These Article refers to research that is investigate how cultural influences on english foreign language (EFL) and English Second Language (ESL) but, besides that are not intended to emphasizing cultural differences between students at English Second Language and English Foreign Language. Especially those from Asian Countries Southeast with people in speaking English countries. And the reason is because this research was conducted at homogeneous that homogeneous is the good class. Based on Ahmad Rohani (2010) that he said that homogeneous study is the part of the management of the class, that is arranged in such a way as it has certain goals in its implementation and in teaching and learning process. And the second agreement that I agreed form this article is the writer use the sampling technique in state University of Medan, Indonesia. And for the activities carried out by the writer of the article are including writing draft, reflective journal, questionaires, and interview. So, that students’ expressions are channeled in writing it. And this fits perfectly with the expert opinion of (Kish, 1965; Fowler,  1993). The main goal of purposive sampling is to focus on particular characteristics of apopulation that are of interest, which will best answer the research questions. So, my critique for this article has a many positive points then negative points especially that I have write before or like I wrote above this. That I agreed about homogeneous class. From this article the reader know about the difficulty of L2 Or second language writing  because their (Students’) should deliver their idea from the first langua ge to target language become increase the perfect language. But, this article talk about the difficult and besides it the author also give the problem solving to handle the difficult that students’ has.
