Theused textbook I purchased was supposed to be in "good" condition but I would classify it more asmedicor. Though the pages themselves were fine and few were writen on the rest of the book wasnot. Upon arrival I found the outside spine to look as if it was sliced, and on the inside the bindingwas damaged and the pages were literally starting to fall out. Unfortunatly I will have to return thisbook and repurchase another which means I will not have it for the start of class. Verydisappointing. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Normal Review for AbnormalPsychology By Brianna Jackson Abnormal Psychology (7th Edition) by T.F. Oltmanns and R.E. Emeryis an excellent textbook that I used for a psychopathology course at the University of Michigan mysophomore year. The writing style is simple to understand, an added bonus because I was new to thematerial. I am a psychology major and textbooks are essential to learning in the classroom. I’ve readother texts for various classes including Social Psychology by T. Gilovich and Cognitive Psychologyby R.J. Sternberg, but this one is the most memorable and engaging. Not only was this book simpleto understand, but it was entertaining (at least, as entertaining as textbooks can be) and providedreal world situations to illustrate the material. Included in the book are case studies which provideexamples to complement the text. For instance, in a section about bipolar disorder, there would be acase example of a person who displays symptoms related to it, what could’ve been potential causalfactors and how they may function in everyday life. The book also includes personal interviews of individuals with a specific disorder, but I did not use that resource for class and am unable to attestto whether it was a useful tool. In this way, the book is interactive with the reader and assists inmaking the material easier to retain. Though I read this book at the college level, it is applicable toanyone who is interested in learning more about mental disorders. I would recommend this foranyone at the high school level and older. It is expensive, but if you’re passionate on this topic, thisis a book you can reference for the rest of your life. It’s also a bit hefty to carry, but a sacrifice worthmaking for the benefit of expanding your knowledge on the subject. I ordered this book and itarrived in a timely manner, so whether you’re a college student in need of the book immediately forclass or an individual anxious to start enhancing your knowledge on this subject, no need to despair!I had a positive experience from the beginning stages of ordering to the final stages of reading and Ihope that if you order this book, your experience is equally enjoyable. 1 of 1 people found thefollowing review helpful. Worked well for the class I needed. Digital was ... By Shana I ordered thisbook for the class I needed. The Kindle Digital was the way to go. It was a cheaper option, and itheld up way better than the loose leaf version my classmates had (loose leaf books fall apart and get  ruined so fast!). For my particular class, this book was vital, very helpful, and was fortunate enoughto have the DSM-5 updates in it so soon after the DMS-5 was put into print. But again, kindle versionis the way to go! See all 120 customer reviews... Reading Ebook Abnormal Psychology (8th Edition) By Thomas F.
