Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.“And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; Ianswer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answerMy call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way.
  • 9. Description for the man 1. In a journey. 2. disheveled and dust-colored3. stretches his hands out toward the sky 4. Says “ O Lord, O Lord”
  • 10. 1. In a journey. The best time to make supplication:The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said; Three supplicationswill not be rejected (by Allah (SWT)), the supplication ofthe parent for his child, the supplication of the one who isfasting, and the supplication of the traveler. [al-Bayhaqi,at-Tirmidhi - Sahih]
  • 11. 2. Disheveled and dust-colored May a person with disheveled hair and dust-colored is turned away from the doors that if he were to swear by Allah, Allah would fulfill that for himOne of the causes for Allah to respond tosupplication one’s Modesty and simplicity
  • 12. 3. Stretches his hands out toward the sky Your lord is munificent and generous, and is ashamed to turn away empty the hands of His servant when he raises them to Him.Another causes for Allah to respond to one’s supplication: Raising the hands in supplication
  • 13. 4. Says “ O Lord, O Lord”The term Lord is the one of the most important names bywhich Allah is to be beseeched. Many supplications that arefound in the Quran begin with “ O Lord” or “O our Lord”And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good inthe Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!“ Surah Al-Baqarah(201)"Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay noton us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord!Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.” (Surah Al-Baqarah (286) "Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.” Surah āl ʿImrān (8)
  • 14. dont be surprised that the response is slow in coming as you haveblocked it’s road due to your sins
  • 15. while his food is Haraam (unlawful), his drink is Haraam, his clothing is Haraam, and he his nourishment is Haraam, so how can [his supplication] be answered ?!If one’s life is filled with forbidden aspects, how does one expect Allah torespond to his prayers? The person himself doesn’t respond to Allah’s teachings and yet heexpects Allah to respond to his calls. This hadith makes it clear that if one really wants Allah to respond to hisprayers, he must respond to Allah’s call and then Allah will certainlyrespond to his call.
  • 16. Allah may also respond to a supplication to cause some awakeningThe person should recognize the blessing that Allah has given him and how Allah has responded to him although he has not responded properly to Allah’s call. If this doesn’t have any affect on him, then it is a matter of Allah simply giving him more blessings while he is making himself more & more ungrateful for what Allah has given him. Hence, the person is just taking himself closer & closer to his own destruction. Allah responds to supplication in three ways: Allah (SWT) will respond to the supplicant and He will give him what he asked for. Allah (SWT) will prevent the supplicant from being harmed. Allah (SWT) will reward the supplicant with “Hasanat” (good reward) which will be kept for him on the Day Of Judgment.
  • 17. This presentation is a product of cooperation among three students at the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies in Foreign Languages (Al-Arqam) in Nasr City, Cairo-Egypt.They ask the reader to pray for them that they gain deep knowledge and understanding of Islam and benefit the Muslim Ummah.
